Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Review
Though this video game came out several years ago, in 2015, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate had only grabbed my attention as of recently, and ever since then, I have only delved deeper into this franchise.
Taking place during London’s Industrial Revolution, it revolves around a pair of twins who are out to settle a conspiracy and restore their homeland’s society in the process. The player becomes essential to the game’s plotline right at the beginning. A mysterious video recording will tell the player of their mission and demonstrates how they can do this. With a shortened version of the plot explained, it is easy to tell right away how many layers this series truly has- the designers of the game have made a truly immersive universe.
From the local video game enthusiasts to those who play on occasion, this game contains something for everyone. If titles like Watchdogs, ARK, Skyrim, Dark Souls, or even Pokemon appeal to you, where world-building is the primary source of entertainment, I recommend trying Syndicate out.
One of the most distinctive features of Syndicate includes two of the characters of the game. These twins make the most of their cutscenes and gameplay with their crafty remarks, ambitious personalities, and the hint of vulnerability that they may display. The twins have such unique personalities that it is difficult not to attain some fondness for this memorable duo.
The soundtrack is mesmerizing, sucking you right into the mood and environment every time you load the game. While the animation may not hold up as well as it once did with the emergence of new technologies, it still has a sense of liveliness to it that makes it unique from other games of its genre. All of the designs, from the costumes, characters, buildings, weapons, and more were carefully researched.
On another note, as with any game, there will always be flaws. Noticeably, one of these flaws involves how the main characters’ attack moves are not too different from one another, regardless if they were advertised as being solely combat or stealth-based. For being as large of a game as it is, besides the primary characters and the villian, the other characters do lack a bit of fleshing out. Bugs are not uncommon in the game, and, when certain ones do occur, it is aggravating to have to restart the mission. Just as well, the battles can feel a little tedious at times, especially if you are mainly in combat mode in which there are no combo moves.
While this franchise may not be as popular as Fortnite or Minecraft, Syndicate still provides great value for whether you are in it for the story’s atmosphere or to mercilessly brawl competitors.

You have no idea how happy I was to hear that someone was finally going to do a review on an Assassin’s Creed game. All I can say is, your review did not disappoint.
As an avid AC universe fanatic, I can honestly say that Syndicate is one of the better stand-alone AC games out there. Seeing as how you enjoyed it, I can honestly and wholeheartedly recommend playing AC 3 and AC 4: Black Flag. In my opinion, those two are the most story-rich and history-dense, while also having a lot of interesting characters and missions.
