Virgil Abloh, the designer and CEO of Off White and artist director for Louis Vuitton, died on November 28th from cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare cancer. He was 41 years old when he passed.

He designed men’s clothing for Louis Vuitton and had many collections from streetwear, to high fashion. As for Off White, he did many collaborations with a lot of name brands such as Nike, Converse, and more. His most popular collaboration was with Nike because of all the sneakers they created. They made Nike Dunk Lows, Nike Air Jordan 1s, and much more. These sneakers were popular because of his unique designs.

On November 30th, Louis Vuitton held a ceremony in Miami honoring Abloh. They put together a ceremony inviting many celebrities, influencers, and designers that Abloh knew and worked with. They had a statue for him, and at the end they had fireworks that said: “Virgil was here.” They also presented the last menswear collection he designed for Louis Vuitton.

Many models and celebrities were shocked and sad about the passing of Virgil and made Instagram posts about the young designer, reminiscing the times they worked with him.
