Senior Send-off #2022: Jitzel Fuerte

Jitzel Fuerte is a Senior here at Segerstrom High School and plays basketball for the girls varsity team.

Jitzel Fuerte is an outgoing, kind person who is a staff writer for The Jag Journal. She joined the program her freshman year and has been part of the staff for three of her four years at Segerstrom High School. Her commitments to this school also extend to extracurricular activities. An example includes playing basketball all four years here at Segerstrom. This year, she participated in the Santa Ana All-Star Game, South v.s. North, and had a great time because she had the opportunity to play alongside other seniors from other schools in our district. The Jag Journal is proud of her for what she has contributed to this program over the years and wanted to give her an opportunity to reflect on that experience.

1.  What is/are your favorite memory(ies) of Segerstrom?

My favorite memories would be the assemblies that we had sophomore year right before we went into lockdown. Another memory I had was when I played my senior year the Godinez v.s. Segerstrom Home game.

2.  How has your high school experience at Segerstrom shaped your life?

It created bonds with people I never expected myself to be close with.

3.  What are your plans after high school graduation?

My plans are to attend IVC next year.

4.  What is one piece of advice you would give to an incoming freshman?

Enjoy high school as much as you can because these 4 years fly by. Before you know it, you are choosing what college to attend and realize how scary growing up can be.
