Streaming on Disney+, Agatha All Along is the newest marvel miniseries. Released in September of 2024, it was created by Jac Schaeffer, who was also responsible for Wanda Vision (2021), based on the Marvel Comics. The series is mainly all about witches- and not just any kind of witches, but witches trying to live a regular human life. The characters in the series are naturally funny and make a lot of jokes, and many viewers are excited about the representation of the series as well.
It has been three years since Agatha was first introduced. We see her as her human self Agnes, the nosey neighbor in WandaVision. In the show, they talk a lot about witches, of course, and for many viewers that is their main interest.
Agatha was first introduced in the series WandaVision, where she forms a new coven of witches in the series after escaping from a spell and results in her being powerless. The infamous Agatha Harkness finds herself down and out of power after a suspicious goth teen helps break her free from a distorted spell. The storyline takes place in the year 2026, which is the present day, alongside the film The Marvels (2023). There are many musical moments, the main song that is featured in the miniseries is called “The Ballad of the Witches Road”.
The main character is Agatha Harckness, as the show follows her after the events of WandaVision. We are introduced to many new characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe- five, to be exact, all of which are introduced in this miniseries, and all witches that tag along with Agatha towards the witches road. The actors really represent their characters as all of them are different, each of them are a different type of witch, so they all have different powers.
There are a good amount of episodes for it being a miniseries, being nine in total. Each of them are a good length, usually around 30-40 minutes long. Every Wednesday from September to October 30, 2024, new episodes are released.
Overall, the episodes were entertaining from beginning to end, as there were many funny moments in the show. This is one of the first times in the Marvel film universe we see witches. After the first two episodes dropped, many people were hooked and looking to the next few episodes of the series. Many said it is the perfect show to watch during Halloween time.
