Wednesday, January 15th, Segerstrom students filled the quad to see which clubs were being offered in the 2025 spring semester. A total of 25 clubs, centered around everything from sports to arts, academic groups, and community service, set up booths to encourage people to join, which ended up being very successful. Not only were club representatives successful in getting people to join, but they had a lot of fun, too.
Many students visited the different booths set up in the quad, which got a lot of people to join the new clubs they were interested in. Senior Alina Canales shares how, as the Femineer’s treasurer, she was surprised about how many people signed up for her club.
“This semester we got more people to sign up than we did in the past. It was really surprising but I’m glad the showcase was successful.” says Canales.
Aside from the number of sign-ups, the club showcase created a fun community for students. The club representatives working the booth had fun meeting new people and talking to people from other clubs too. Our CSF and Red Cross clubs even took a picture together and posted it on their stories, which encouraged people to join both clubs. Senior Pamela Hernandez describes the fun that she had as a CSF member who is friends with members of Red Cross.
“It was a lot of fun to see members from different clubs interacting with each other. The picture with CSF and Red Cross just shows that regardless of which clubs we are promoting, we all help each other.” shares Hernandez.
Overall, the club showcase was a huge success and it allowed our Jaguars to share their interests with other people who have the same interests as them. No matter what clubs students joined, everyone attending was able to learn about the clubs offered, connect with others, and have fun.
