One of our Segerstrom News Video Editors, Anila, is officially graduating from Segerstrom this year. Anila has been part of our program for only one year, yet she has still done so much for the program. Anila is an important part of the production process for the media teams. She ensures that her work is up to the standard of a professional news organization. Currently, she edits SNT and does a great job of it. Anila will be attending UCSD after she graduates to major in political science and we are excited to see what the path she chooses will lead her to. We wish Anila the best of luck!
- Tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Anila, and I’m a Capricorn. I enjoy concerts, video editing, watching shows, doing makeup, and shopping! You will always catch me shopping, even if I have a dollar to my name. I always try my hardest to go out with my friends or family, and I will always have my digital camera with me.
2) What is your favorite memory(ies) at Segerstrom High school?
My favorite memory at Segerstrom was going on a field trip with my friends to see colleges, and I realized I did want to live on a campus during college.
3) How has your high school experience at Segerstrom shaped your life?
I transferred to Segerstrom in my junior year, and it helped me make friends and join my local community. I joined many clubs and met people who helped me throughout school. I also learned what I was passionate about through the classes offered here.
4)What are your plans after graduation?
My plans after graduation are to attend UCSD and major in political science. I want to try my hardest to earn my BA and hope to attend law school in the future, I want to find a career in corporate law.
5) What is one piece of advice you would give to an incoming freshman?
One piece of advice I would give to an incoming Freshman is not to be afraid to reach out and try out new experiences, because it will help you succeed and meet new people.
