For the past year, Valeria Flores has been a valuable staff writer and producer to the Segerstrom News program. From stories on pop artists to scripts and news packages, the variety and efficiency of news packages and articles could not have been like they are without her part in them. As she makes her way out of high school, we cannot wait to see what she will accomplish and will miss her presence on the news team!
1) Tell us about yourself?
I love listening to music and my favorite artist is Olivia Rodrigo. My favorite show is Stranger Things and my favorite thing to do when not in school is go to the movie theater with my little sister. I also like going to Disneyland.
2) What is/are your favorite memory/memories at Segerstrom?
My favorite memory at Segerstrom was when I had the same lunch as my friends and we would go to the senior spot and eat lunch, always making each other laugh.
3) How has your high school experience at Segerstrom shaped your life?
My highschool experience was great, and I’m so glad there were so many teachers that were able to support me and help me along the way. I’m also glad I was in so many clubs and got to meet so many new people and help out with the community.
4) What are your plans after graduation?
My plan after graduation is first try to find a job, so that I’ll have some money before college starts. Then, in the fall, I’ll be attending Chapman University majoring in English and Journalism.
5)What is one piece of advice you would give to the incoming freshmen?
One piece of advice that I would give to the incoming freshman is to join clubs and make many new friends in any of your classes.
