Our Jaguar football team practices in preparation for their upcoming season. They are readying for Friday’s rivalry football game.

Segerstrom’s Varsity football team has a game against our cross-town rivals, Valley, this Friday. This rivalry has been going on for more than 5 years. On August 29th, at Valley High School, is where the Friday night lights will be. Last year, the Segerstrom Jaguars beat the Falcons, 57 to 0. This year our team is different but has the potential to be even better.

Coming from last week’s game against Palm Spring High School, Segerstrom Jaguars suffered a hard fought loss in double overtime. For this upcoming game, the Jaguars will want to bounce back from last week’s loss and make everyone in the city know that Segerstrom High School is the best SAUSD Football team.

This game means a lot to both schools, and the energy in the stands will be loud and intense. The Jaguars have been working hard all week in practice to fix mistakes and sharpen their focus. Fans are expecting a hard-fought game from the Jaguars that could be one of the most exciting of the season.
