As the semester continues here at Segerstrom, students are getting ready for Homecoming Spirit Week. Starting on Monday, October 13th through Friday, October 17th, here’s how you can show spirit.
On Monday, Jaguars kicked off the week with a school-wide blackout. Students are encouraged to dress in black to show off their “Loud in the Dark” spirit. Whether it’s black shirts, hoodies, pants, or more, we were ready to participate in this low effort theme.
Saddle up for Tuesday with all things western. Cowboy hats, flannel shirts, denim, boots, and belt buckles are encouraged to be ready for the “Rollin’ Rodeo” theme.
“I’m most excited for Rollin’ Rodeo because it’s cute and I can wear my boots,” shares sophomore Camila Zaragoza.
Wednesday invites students to dress as their favorite music legend or current icon. Whether you’re dressed as rock, pop, rap, or country, the day celebrates the artists who inspire us as students embrace the “Legends Live Loud” theme.
Thursday throws it back with a face-off between two iconic styles. Students can choose between surfer gear or iconic 90s/Y2K styles for “Beach Boys vs. Beastie Boys”.
To close out Spirit Week, Friday’s “Hidden in the Hype” theme encourages students to come with camo gear- both to school and the Homecoming football game later in the evening.
From blackouts to beach vibes, this year’s Spirit Week offers something for everyone. Make sure to participate, show off your style, and get ready for Homecoming!
