Famous Youtuber Jeffree Star collaborated with fellow YouTuber, Shane Dawson, and made a makeup collection called Jeffree Star x Shane Dawson.

Jeffree and Shane’s makeup collection consists of a palette and lipsticks. In the series Shane filmed with Jeffree, the audience were shown step by step how the palette was created. Since they released the videos of their collection, everyone was anxious and ready to get their hands on it.

“When i found out about Shane’s collection I freaked out. I was really excited about getting it because I love watching Shane and Jeffree,” said Astrid Novoa (10).

Shane said that he wanted his palette to be unique but wearable at the same time. He created 2 palettes and they were named The Conspiracy Palette and The Mini Controversy Palette. The Conspiracy palette has 18 shades, while the Mini Controversy has 9 shades.

“I like all the colors Shane chose for his palettes, especially for the Conspiracy Palette. They take me out of my comfort zone and it’s really unique,” said Marlene Nava (10).

The collection was released on November 2, 2019. Everything sold out in less than 10 minutes. According to Jeffree, their collection broke the internet because it was the fastest online seller. It is said that over 60,000 palettes were sold.

“I think that it’s cool how fast their makeup sold. I think that probably means all of their fans were supporting them,” said Tony Gonzalez (10).

Before Shane launched his collection with Jeffree, he was afraid that it wouldn’t sell which is pretty ironic because it sold out in minutes. Shane said he was really surprised and thankful of the outcome for his makeup collection. 

“I was pretty sure that his collection was going to do really well because Shane has a lot of fans that love and support him,” said Diana Vilchis (10).
