After being in Journalism for two years, Hannah is set to continue her education at UCI! You may have seen the numerous SNT videos that have been produced throughout the year. Segerstrom News Today would not have been possible without the hard work Hannah put in writing up questions, coordinating interviews, drafting up scripts, and much more. But more than that, Journalism will remember Hannah for her incredible personality and ability to interact with everyone in the class comfortably. Or maybe the time she left class early under the guise of a scheduled interview to be the first in line for birria ramen alongside Fernie and Paulina. Or maybe the time she wanted to start an SNT script with, “October 1st marks the beginning of October”…
1) Tell me about yourself.
My name is Hannah. I’m 18 years old and a current Senior at Segerstrom Highschool. I was born and raised in Santa Ana and live with my parents, my younger sister, and my dog Eva. I think I’m someone who keeps to myself but enjoys new experiences with friends. I have a lot of different interests and am pretty lively once you get to know me!!
2) What is your favorite memory at Segerstrom?
It’s hard to choose just one favorite memory from my time here. If I had to choose, my Junior year here was one of the best years of my life. I met one of my best friends that year and got to have a lot of new, fun experiences.
3) How has your high school experience here in Segerstrom shaped you?
I think my time at Segerstrom has helped me to push myself out of my comfort zone and be a lot less introverted.
4) What are your plans after graduation?
After I graduate I plan to attend UCI in the fall and study history.
5) What is one piece of advice you would give to incoming freshmen?
I really recommend for incoming freshmen to prioritize putting themselves out there and making efforts to make and keep friendships.
