Paulina joined Journalism this year, but made a major impact while taking over as a new host for Jags Talk! As the year ends, Paulina’s on her way to graduating and attending SAC. We’ll miss her mini concerts with Fernie, singing songs in the back of the class, and her bright personality (ie: her arguments with Fernie).
1) Tell me about yourself.
I’m the type of person to not really put myself out there unless I have people to do it with. As time passed I’ve learned that I can’t always rely on others meaning I have to do things for myself. My friends would describe me as funny, charismatic, ambivert, and generous.
2) What is your favorite memory at Segerstrom?
My favorite memory at Segerstrom is eating lunch with all my friends in Mrs. Espinosa’s during junior year.
3) How has your high school experience here in Segerstrom shaped you?
I think my high school experience started a little rough because I didn’t have many friends and I wasn’t social at all which gave me a hard time when meeting new people. It was until junior when I finally met people where I could be who I am and made many memories with them.
4) What are your plans after graduation?
My plans after graduation are taking a counseling class during the summer in SAC. I will also start my fall classes in SAC.
5) What is one piece of advice you would give to incoming freshmen?
A piece of advice I have for incoming freshmen is to try to put yourself out there and find people that allow you to be yourself and participate in school activities.
